Samsung Electronics' upcoming Exynos 2700 mobile processor has reportedly outperformed Qualcomm's next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 in internal benchmark tests. The Exynos 2700 led in CPU, GPU, AI processing, and power efficiency. The chip was up to 19% faster in multi-core CPU tasks. It showed a 24% advantage in low-power GPU performance.

This development could prompt Samsung to increase Exynos chip use in the forthcoming Galaxy S27 series. This could reduce its reliance on Qualcomm. It could also lower component costs. Samsung expects to manufacture the Exynos 2700 on its second-generation 2-nanometer process. However, these reported results stem from preliminary, internal tests. They may not reflect final, real-world performance.
