CATL launched the Tectrans II Ultra-Fast Charging battery for light commercial vehicles. The battery charges from 10% to 80% in 6 minutes and 48 seconds. This speed matches the time required to refuel conventional internal combustion vehicles. The technology targets urban logistics fleets to minimize operational downtime.

The Tectrans II includes a warranty covering 10 years or 1 million kilometers. It also features enhanced performance in cold weather conditions.

CATL is deploying shared infrastructure for both ultra-fast charging and battery swapping. These stations will serve both commercial and passenger vehicles. The company plans to build 4,000 ultra-fast charging stations by 2026. These stations will span approximately 190 cities across China.
