CATL and VNET Group have signed a strategic agreement to develop next-generation digital energy infrastructure. The partnership integrates VNET’s large-scale computing with CATL’s zero-carbon energy technologies.
The collaboration focuses on a three-layer compute-energy ecosystem. This includes gigawatt-scale integrated facilities and distributed compute-energy networks.
The project will utilize green data center technologies and direct connections to renewable power. It also features a zero-carbon token ecosystem.
VNET announced the deal alongside its second-quarter 2026 earnings report. Financial terms of the agreement remain undisclosed.
