UBTECH Robotics is establishing a new manufacturing base and service hub in the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA). The facility positions the region as a major center for humanoid robot mass production, joining competitor Unitree Robotics in the area.

This northern smart manufacturing base integrates large-scale production with R&D, industrial innovation, and operational services. The expansion follows the recent demonstration of the UBTECH Walker S2 robot’s autonomous battery swapping capabilities.

The move reflects a broader industry shift from experimental prototypes toward commercial deployment and large-scale financing.
