Airtel Africa Plc reported a 32% increase in first-quarter pretax profit.
Pretax profit reached $360 million, up from $273 million during the same period last year. Quarterly revenue grew 31% to reach $1.85 billion. Strong demand for data, voice, and mobile money services across Nigeria, East Africa, and Francophone Africa drove these results.
The company selected London as the primary listing venue for the 2026 Initial Public Offering of its Airtel Money unit. This strategic move aims to attract international investors to the African fintech platform. Airtel Money currently records an annualized transaction value surpassing $245 billion.
