Airtel Africa reported $1.85 billion in revenue for the quarter ending June 30, 2026. This represents a 31% year-over-year increase. Revenue grew 21.1% in constant currency, fueled by double-digit growth in Nigeria, East Africa, and Francophone Africa. Profit after tax rose 27% to $198 million from $156 million in the previous year.
The total customer base expanded 11.6% to 189 million subscribers. Data revenue increased 27.2% in constant currency. Mobile money revenue climbed 25.8% in constant currency. The annualised total processed value on the Airtel Money platform surged 51.5% to over $245 billion.
Company shares dipped slightly despite the strong financial results. Investors expressed caution regarding margin pressure from rising energy costs. Increased capital expenditures also contributed to the cautious sentiment.
