American Airlines will equip more than 500 narrow-body aircraft with SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet. The rollout begins in the first quarter of 2027. This service will cover domestic and short-haul international routes. Installations include the Airbus A321neo and upcoming A321XLR fleets.
SpaceX secured the deal after signing similar contracts with United Airlines and Southwest Airlines. The partnership provides high-speed, low-latency internet for streaming, gaming, and real-time collaboration. The companies did not disclose financial terms.
