Over 40 S&P 500 companies disclosed approximately $9.6 billion in tariff refunds over the past few months. The payouts follow a Supreme Court ruling that invalidated a key portion of a Trump-era tariff program.

Apple reported nearly $2.2 billion in refunds, the largest amount for any single company. These refunds added 11 cents to Apple’s latest quarterly earnings per share.

Amazon received $640 million in refunds. The company plans to use the funds for selective customer refunds and price reductions.

Technology hardware companies secured $2.5 billion in total refunds. Apple accounts for nearly 90% of that sector's total.
