Jennifer Bailey will retire from Apple in October. She has served at the company for more than 25 years. Bailey has led the Apple Pay division since its launch in 2014.

Services chief Eddy Cue announced the departure internally. Cue stated that Apple Pay changed payment habits for hundreds of millions of users.

Bailey’s division expanded the Wallet app to include digital IDs and keys. She also oversaw the launch of the Apple Card. Her exit coincides with a broader series of leadership changes at Apple.

The company will name a successor before her departure. Bailey will remain in an advisory capacity to ensure a smooth transition.
