Gubra A/S, a partner of AbbVie, announced encouraging topline data for ABBV-295. ABBV-295 is an amylin analog developed for obesity. The data comes from a Phase 1 Multiple Ascending Dose trial.
Gubra highlighted the results in its first-half 2026 report. The trial showed a weight loss of up to 9.8% at 12 weeks with once-weekly dosing. The placebo group experienced a 0.3% weight loss. Participants had a mean baseline BMI below 30 kg/m².
This data supports the next stage of clinical trials. AbbVie expects to initiate a Phase 2 study in the third quarter of 2026.
The full data set will be presented at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) conference. The presentation is scheduled for September 30, 2026.
