Barrick Gold Corporation appointed Sebastiaan Bock as Chief Executive Officer for its Rest of World portfolio, effective immediately. Mr. Bock will oversee gold and copper operations across Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and the Asia Pacific.
The international portfolio currently produces more than two million gold equivalent ounces annually. Barrick projects this production will grow by over 20% within the next three years.
The announcement follows Barrick’s second-quarter results and a declared quarterly dividend of $0.175 per share. This leadership change focuses on strengthening global operations and leveraging partnerships to de-risk international projects.
