AECOM has secured the lead designer role for the replacement of the Alexandra Bridge. This infrastructure project connects Ottawa, Ontario, and Gatineau, Quebec, within Canada's National Capital Region. The company will collaborate with the Capital Crossing Constructors joint venture during the development phase.
AECOM will deliver integrated services including bridge architecture and structural and civil engineering. The scope also covers environmental services, traffic management design, and public consultation support.
This contract follows other recent high-profile wins for the firm. These include projects for Thames Water in the United Kingdom and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
