Accenture, IBM, and UniCredit have launched a long-term strategic collaboration to modernize the bank’s technology platform.
Accenture will acquire a majority stake from IBM in the joint venture currently managing UniCredit’s technology infrastructure. This partnership initiates a multi-year program to overhaul core systems and operating models across 13 European markets.
The project aims to build a next-generation platform by integrating cloud, data, and artificial intelligence into mission-critical systems. While financial terms were not disclosed, the deal remains subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
