Airbus SE secured an order for 137 A320neo series aircraft from China Southern Airlines and Xiamen Airlines. The total list price for the transaction reaches approximately $21.4 billion. Both airlines received substantial discounts on the final purchase price. Deliveries are scheduled to occur between 2028 and 2032.
Airbus shares rose more than 5% during the trading session following the announcement. Investors prioritized long-term revenue growth over the company's weaker first-quarter financial results. The deal strengthens the market position of the A320 family, which remains the manufacturer's most popular model.
