Akamai Technologies launched a unified agentic security framework for its Bot & Agent Control solutions. The system secures AI-driven commerce by verifying the identity and intent of agents acting for users. It integrates identity, observability, and edge security into a single real-time decisioning layer.
The framework operates on six pillars through a coordinated partner ecosystem. Akamai is integrating Visa’s Trusted Agent Protocol to authenticate AI agents within payment environments. The company also partnered with Experian and Skyfire to develop the Know Your Agent (KYA) framework. This initiative verifies that AI agents are authorized by specific individuals to ensure transaction accountability.
