Alarum Technologies is reducing its workforce by approximately one-third through layoffs and unpaid leave. The cuts follow a persistent disruption to its NetNut subsidiary’s proxy network services.
The root cause of the disruption remains unknown following a law enforcement inquiry earlier this month. Alarum hired external cybersecurity and forensic teams to investigate potential network misuse or technical failures.
The company is implementing an operational efficiency plan to align costs with current business conditions. Management is currently evaluating options to restore services in a controlled and compliant manner.
