Alvotech and Lotus Pharmaceutical entered a strategic licensing agreement for two biosimilar candidates. The partnership covers AVT34, a biosimilar to Imfinzi (durvalumab), and AVT87, a biosimilar to Hemlibra (emicizumab).
Imfinzi generated approximately $6.1 billion in global sales during 2025. Hemlibra recorded global sales of about $5.8 billion in the same year.
Alvotech acts as the exclusive supplier and manages U.S. development and marketing authorizations. Both companies will commercialize the products in the U.S. market under a semi-exclusive arrangement. Lotus holds exclusive commercialization rights across eight Asian markets.
The agreement provides Alvotech up to $150 million in upfront and milestone payments. Alvotech will also receive ongoing revenue from product supply.
