AMD announced the Mac Mini-sized Ryzen AI Halo PC for local artificial intelligence workloads. This developer-focused system starts at $3,999. Pre-orders for the Ryzen AI Max 300 series machines begin in June 2026. AMD positions the hardware as a direct competitor to NVIDIA’s DGX Spark. The company claims the initial investment can break even within six months for active developers.
AMD also unveiled the next-generation Ryzen AI Max 400 series processors. These Zen 5 architecture chips will launch in the third quarter of 2026. HP and Lenovo will integrate these processors into future systems. The updated platform supports up to 192GB of unified memory. This capacity increases from 128GB to enable the operation of more complex AI models.
