AMD reached a record 33.2% share of the x86 server processor market in the first quarter of 2026. Mercury Research released these figures on June 5, 2026. This represents a six percentage point increase over the previous year.

The company continues to gain ground in the data center sector, a market historically dominated by Intel. Sustained demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure drove sales of AMD’s Epyc processors.

The server segment grew by more than 10% year-over-year. This expansion occurred despite a decline in the broader x86 processor market.
