Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) shares rose following the debut of its Personal AI strategy at the IFA 2026 conference in Berlin. The company aims to shift artificial intelligence from the cloud to local devices to enhance privacy and reduce costs.

AMD introduced the Threadripper Halo Station, a workstation capable of running trillion-parameter AI models locally. The company also commenced commercial shipments for its Helios rack-scale AI platform.

These releases mark a significant step in AMD's evolution into a comprehensive data center hardware supplier. The stock outperformed the market even as broader indices traded lower.
