Amentum and Westinghouse Electric Company signed a series of agreements to deploy advanced nuclear reactor technologies. The collaboration focuses on enhancing delivery capacity for 1-gigawatt AP1000 reactors.
The partners will also advance the development of the AP300 small modular reactor (SMR). Amentum will provide engineering and nuclear project lifecycle expertise to accelerate these deployments.
The companies are working together to secure U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission approval for the AP300 SMR. This partnership addresses the expanding global demand for stable, carbon-free energy.
