Amazon AWS Senior Vice President Dave Brown is leaving the company after a 19-year tenure.

Brown led the critical compute and machine learning services divisions.

He served as a member of the S-team, an influential group of senior leaders advising CEO Andy Jassy.

AWS CEO Matt Garman announced the departure in an internal memo.

Brown will remain with the company through the end of July to manage the leadership transition.

Dave Treadwell, an S-team member and current SVP of ecommerce foundation, succeeds Brown on August 1.

Brown has not disclosed his next employer.
