Amazon named Amwell co-founder Dr. Roy Schoenberg as the new head of its Health Services division. The appointment becomes effective on July 1. Schoenberg will manage the company's expanding healthcare portfolio, including Amazon Pharmacy and One Medical.
He succeeds Neil Lindsay, who led the unit for five years during his 15-year tenure at Amazon. Lindsay will transition with Schoenberg over the summer and remain an advisor through the end of 2026.
The move replaces a marketing-focused leader with a physician to deepen clinical expertise and scale operations.
