Amazon.com Inc. signed long-term agreements on August 28, 2026, to source nearly 200 megawatts from four new Swedish wind farms.

The company also secured a separate 600-megawatt power purchase agreement from an offshore wind farm in Germany.

These projects will increase Amazon’s total renewable energy capacity in Sweden to over one gigawatt.

Developers Eolus AB and OX2 AB are building the Swedish sites to support Amazon Web Services (AWS) data center expansion.

The initiative addresses the surging energy requirements of cloud computing and artificial intelligence services.
