A bipartisan group led by former Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo and former Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb has launched RAISE US, a national non-profit aimed at helping the American workforce adapt to an AI-driven economy. The organization will partner with states, employers, and educators to design and pilot new training models and create incentives for companies to retrain and redeploy workers.
The initiative is backed by leading technology companies, with Amazon, Anthropic, Microsoft, and the OpenAI Foundation serving as anchor partners. RAISE US aims to raise $1 billion and has already secured over $500 million in commitments to fund its programs, which will initially launch in states including Arkansas, Maryland, Utah, and Connecticut.
