Amazon Web Services (AWS) is investing over $5.3 billion to launch a new cloud infrastructure region in Saudi Arabia.
The project is scheduled to go live by December 2026.
AWS initially announced the expansion in March 2024 to meet growing regional demand for cloud and artificial intelligence services.
The investment aligns with the Saudi Vision 2030 strategy for economic diversification.
Local organizations will gain the ability to run applications and store data within the kingdom.
AWS is partnering with PIF-owned HUMAIN to develop a dedicated AI Zone.
This facility will integrate NVIDIA infrastructure to accelerate regional AI innovation.
