The Public Ministry of Bahia (MPBA) filed a civil lawsuit against Ânima Holding S.A. and its subsidiary Unifacs. The legal action cites alleged irregularities in educational services, specifically regarding difficulties for students obtaining diplomas and academic records.

The lawsuit alleges the institutions imposed improper charges and provided inadequate customer support through automated channels. The MPBA requests a court order to stop the application of scholarship discounts to re-enrollment fees.

Prosecutors also demand an end to fees for issuing diplomas and the implementation of human-led customer service. The action seeks compensation for collective and individual damages, creating potential financial and reputational risks for Ânima.
