The House Oversight Committee issued two subpoenas to Apollo Global Management co-founder Leon Black. The committee served the subpoenas after Black refused to answer questions regarding non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) with women.
One subpoena compels Black to produce documents related to these NDAs. A second subpoena requires Black to appear for a sworn deposition on July 16.
Investigators are examining Black’s $158 million payment to Jeffrey Epstein for tax and estate planning services. Black stepped down as Apollo CEO in 2021 following the controversy. He denies any knowledge of Epstein’s sex-trafficking activities.
