AeroVironment received a $51 million delivery order from the U.S. Army for Switchblade 600 loitering munitions.
The order includes next-generation Block 2 systems featuring upgraded avionics and automatic target recognition. The contract also covers Block 1 systems for a Foreign Military Sale to a U.S. ally.
This award falls under a $990 million Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract for Lethal Unmanned Systems. The overarching agreement spans a five-year period. The U.S. Army first issued this contract in August 2024.
More than 20 brigade combat teams have deployed the Switchblade 600. These deployments have been active since 2025.
