Boeing is exploring a production increase for its 737 MAX to 70 jets per month. This exploratory target exceeds the company’s publicly stated goal of 63 jets monthly.

The move aims to narrow the production gap with Airbus. The rival planemaker targets 75 A320neo-family jets per month by late 2027.

CEO Kelly Ortberg confirmed the study is in early stages to assess supply chain capacity. Boeing is currently increasing its output from 42 to 47 jets per month.
