Boeing secured a potential $2 billion contract from the U.S. Air Force for the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) service life extension program. This second-phase agreement includes the design, development, and production of two MUOS satellites. The contract also covers launch support and on-orbit testing services.
Work will be performed in El Segundo, California, with an expected completion date of September 30, 2035. The U.S. Air Force provided an initial funding obligation of $204 million at the time of the award.
