Boeing and Philippine Airlines announced a commitment for up to 20 787-10 Dreamliner jets at the Farnborough International Airshow. The agreement includes 15 firm orders and purchase rights for five additional aircraft.

This deal represents the largest widebody order in the airline's history. It also marks the carrier's first direct order with Boeing since 2007.

Philippine Airlines will use the new aircraft to modernize its fleet and expand medium and long-haul operations. These jets will complement the airline's existing fleet of 10 Boeing 777s. Deliveries are scheduled to take place between 2031 and 2034.
