The U.S. Army grounded its entire fleet of Boeing AH-64 Apache helicopters following a fatal crash in Texas. Two soldiers died in the August 12, 2026, incident during a maintenance test flight near Fort Hood. The Army halted all training operations on August 14 pending an investigation into the cause.
Boeing (BA) shares fell more than 2% following the announcement. The temporary stand-down adds financial and operational pressure to Boeing’s Defense, Space & Security division.
The U.S. Army Combat Readiness Center is currently investigating the accident.
