Boeing’s MQ-28 Ghost Bat autonomous combat aircraft completed its first international flights.
The aircraft conducted three operational test flights. These tests took place at the Point Mugu Sea Range in California.
Previously, the uncrewed aircraft had only flown in Australia. Boeing developed the system in partnership with the Royal Australian Air Force.
The U.S. tests validated autonomous operations. The flights also demonstrated rapid deployment capabilities from an allied location.
These flights signal growing global interest in uncrewed autonomous combat systems. The program's maturity paves the way for potential exports to U.S. and allied forces.
