Beijing-based Moonshot AI reported its annual recurring revenue (ARR) surpassed $1 billion in August. This figure represents a sharp increase from the $300 million recorded in June. The company now targets a $2 billion ARR by the end of 2026.

The July release of the Kimi K3 large-scale artificial intelligence model drove this growth. Kimi K3 provides high-level capabilities at a significantly lower cost than leading American alternatives. This strategy positions the startup as a direct competitor to US-based AI leaders.
