Beam Therapeutics will present updated Phase 1/2 clinical data for BEAM-302, its lead program for alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (AATD). The oral presentation will occur at the European Respiratory Society (ERS) Congress in Barcelona, Spain. This event is scheduled for September 5-9, 2026.
BEAM-302 is a base-editing therapy designed to correct the mutation causing AATD. This genetic disorder can lead to severe lung and liver disease. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Amy Simon noted the treatment aims to restore protein function and eliminate toxic buildup.
Beam will host an investor webcast on September 8, 2026, to review the findings.
