Beta Technologies unveiled the MV250 autonomous hybrid-electric VTOL at the Farnborough International Airshow. This aircraft targets military logistics with improved range and lower operating costs. It utilizes the architecture of the existing ALIA platform.

Beta partnered with GE Aerospace, NASA, and Boeing to complete a record hybrid-electric flight to 30,000 feet. This test reached the standard cruising altitude of commercial passenger aircraft. The campaign validates the viability of electric engine systems for larger aviation platforms.

The company also signed an agreement with Loganair for five all-electric ALIA conventional takeoff and landing aircraft. The deal includes options for five additional units. Loganair currently operates as the largest regional airline in the United Kingdom.
