BHP Group achieved record iron ore production for the 2026 fiscal year. Total output increased 1% to 264.7 million tonnes. Western Australia Iron Ore operations reached a new production high. Copper production totaled nearly 2 million tonnes for the second straight year.
Fourth-quarter iron ore output declined 3% year-over-year to 68.1 million tonnes. BHP forecasts fiscal year 2027 iron ore production between 260 million and 272 million tonnes. Major asset unit costs stayed within fiscal 2026 guidance.
