The Trump administration has launched a new mobile app for its "Trump Accounts" initiative, a federal program designed to encourage long-term savings for children. The app, which became available on Thursday, allows parents and guardians to manage these new tax-advantaged investment accounts. While the app is now live, the program will officially launch on July 4, 2026, at which point the government will begin seeding accounts with a one-time $1,000 contribution for eligible children.

The program is open to U.S. children born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028. The accounts function similarly to traditional IRAs, with funds being invested in the stock market. The app was developed in a partnership that includes BNY Mellon (BNY) and Robinhood (HOOD) and is available for download on Apple and Google devices. It also includes financial literacy modules for families.
