BP p.l.c. announced Deputy CEO Carol Howle will retire in the third quarter. Howle was appointed to the position in early April. She also served as executive vice president for supply, trading, and shipping.
Sam Skerry will become EVP of supply, trading, and shipping effective August 1, 2026. Kerry Dryburgh, EVP of people, culture, and communications, is also leaving the firm. Sonya Adams will take over as EVP of people and culture on August 1.
The departures follow the removal of Chairman Albert Manifold in May due to governance concerns. CEO Meg O'Neill is currently transitioning the company to a simplified organizational structure. No immediate market reaction followed the news.
