BSE Limited will replace Wipro in the Nifty 50 index effective September 30. This inclusion in the National Stock Exchange benchmark marks a major milestone for Asia’s oldest exchange.
Nuvama Institutional Equities estimates the transition will attract $695 million in passive inflows to BSE. Wipro faces projected outflows of approximately $240 million following its removal from the index.
BSE shares have surged 37% year-to-date in 2026. The stock maintained this growth trajectory despite a recent monthly decline of 6%.
