B2Gold received the Menankoto exploitation permit from the Malian government on August 7, 2026. This permit combines with the Dandoko exploration permit to form the Fekola Regional project. The approval follows a dialogue between B2Gold and the state that began in July 2025.
The permit allows B2Gold to develop satellite deposits located 20 kilometers from the existing Fekola Mine. The company expects Fekola Regional to ramp up operations through the end of 2027. The project is projected to produce over 150,000 ounces of gold annually from 2028 into the mid-2030s.
This development secures the future of the Fekola Complex, Mali's largest gold mine, into the late 2030s. B2Gold's stock price surged significantly following the announcement.
