BWXT Acquires Precision Components Group, Expanding U.S. Nuclear Capacity

BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT) completed its acquisition of U.S.-based Precision Components Group, LLC (PCG). PCG manufactures heavy-walled and heat-transfer components for the nuclear industry.

The deal adds over 500,000 square feet of heavy-manufacturing capacity to BWXT’s Commercial Operations segment. The acquisition also integrates a workforce of more than 450 employees.

PCG operates facilities in York, Pennsylvania, and Florence, New Jersey. These sites will continue supporting existing contracts, including components and services for U.S. Navy programs.

BWXT aims to meet rising demand for carbon-free energy through this expansion. The increased capacity supports reactor life-extension programs and new nuclear build activities.
