BYD raised its 2026 overseas sales guidance to between 1.9 million and 2.0 million vehicles. This revision increases the previous target of 1.5 million units.
Overseas sales surged 85.7% year-over-year during the first eight months of 2026. Strong export performance provides a counterbalance to declining sales in the Chinese domestic market.
The company set a target to sell more than 2.5 million vehicles outside of China in 2027.
BYD is expanding its dedicated vehicle carrier fleet to support international growth. Local production is increasing as plants in Indonesia, Brazil, and Hungary ramp up operations.
