Citigroup Inc. will increase its global corporate banking staff in North Asia by approximately 25% this year. The expansion targets offshore business needs for clients in Greater China, Japan, and South Korea.

These clients are currently navigating high foreign exchange volatility and U.S. tariffs. Demand is rising for services including international account openings and hedging strategies.

Citigroup recorded double-digit revenue growth in the region over the last five years. The bank plans to leverage its network across 94 countries to facilitate international expansion for North Asian clients.
