8090 Labs raised $135 million in a Series A funding round led by Salesforce Ventures. Chamath Palihapitiya will serve as CEO, marking his first full-time operational role since leaving Facebook.
The startup launched in January 2024 to develop an AI-enabled Software Factory. This platform helps healthcare, finance, and aerospace firms modernize legacy code and design new systems.
The funding round included participation from WndrCo, Craft Ventures, The Production Board, and LAUNCH. 8090 Labs will use the capital to expand its workforce and invest in computing infrastructure.
