Delta Air Lines reached a $12 million agreement to acquire gates from bankrupt Spirit Airlines.

The deal includes two gates at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the world's busiest airport.

The transaction covers the gates, lobby areas, and support spaces as part of Spirit’s Chapter 11 asset liquidation.

This acquisition strengthens Delta's dominance at its primary hub and provides capacity for future flight expansion.

A New York bankruptcy court will review the deal for approval at a hearing scheduled for July 8.
