Dell Surges 4%, Driven by AI Agent Launch and $43B Backlog

Dell Technologies concluded its Dell Technologies World 2026 conference by debuting a range of AI-native hardware and software.

The company launched the PowerStore Elite storage platform, which offers three times the performance of previous models. Dell also introduced Deskside Agentic AI to enable local autonomous agents using NVIDIA technology.

Dell shares rose 4.06% on May 21. The stock closed at $252.80 following major product reveals and strong NVIDIA earnings.

Analysts cited Dell’s $43 billion AI-server backlog as a key driver for investor confidence.
