Draganfly received a Section 44807 exemption from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for its Heavy Lift drone platform. This approval allows the company and its partners to operate drones exceeding the standard 55-pound takeoff weight limit in U.S. airspace.
The FAA granted the exemption following a rigorous review of the platform’s airworthiness, safety protocols, and fail-safe engineering.
This milestone enables Draganfly to scale heavy-payload operations for defense logistics and disaster relief. The company will also deploy the technology for industrial inspections and automated cargo delivery.
