Eldorado Gold processed the first ore through the crushing circuit at its Skouries copper-gold project in Northern Greece. This milestone moves the flagship project into the commissioning phase.
Eldorado Gold shares rose 3.1% in pre-market trading following the announcement. Construction at the site is now nearly complete.
The company expects first production of copper-gold concentrate in the third quarter of 2026. Commercial production is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.
A stockpile of 3.9 million tonnes of ore has been established. This inventory will provide sufficient feed through the first full year of production.
